Guitar wizards mesmerise Valley audience

By ADRIAN MILLER

THERE was standing room only at the South Grafton Ex-Servicemen's Club on Tuesday night as nearly 400 people flocked to see virtuoso guitarists Slava and Leonard Grigoryan perform in a Pro Musica concert.

The brothers displayed their brilliant contemporary classical guitar repertoire throughout the one-and-ahalf hour concert, performing pieces by composers from Brazil, Australia and Europe.

Pro Musica's Heather Brown said the concert had been a fantastic experience.

"We were absolutely delighted with the evening and the community's response to it," she said.

"We had an amazing response to the concert and the audience was incredibly appreciative of the performance."

Mrs Brown said the brothers mesmerised the crowd with their display.

"The performance was outstanding and their interpretation and intricacies of the way they played was amazing," she said.

Mrs Brown said the brothers' talent was unquestionable.

"One piece they performed was written by Slava himself and the way it was played was a very soothing, very gentle interpretation of his work," she said.
