MORE than 200 South Grafton Community Bank investors are set to receive their first dividend.

"The four per cent dividend is the result of a culmination of a lot of hard work and support from the South Grafton and surrounding community over the last five years," bank chairman Peter James said.

Part of the company's future profits will be channelled into the community via a range of donations, sponsorships and scholarships.

"By putting all or part of your banking business with the Community Bank, the residents and businesses of the Valley will generate very significant amounts for community projects," bank treasurer Derek Alden said.

The bank has been in operation since 2000, and dividends will be distributed in the coming weeks.
