Living together in harmony aim

THE Grafton Community Centre will be the hub for events to mark Harmony Day today.

From 10am-2pm, you can listen to speakers from different cultures, watch displays and try foods from all over the world.

On Thursday students at the Gummyaney Aboriginal Pre-school will take part in a Harmony Day-inspired mini Olympics.

Director Siandra Webb said the aim was to help promote understanding between cultures.

"As an Aboriginal pre-school it's an important part of our role ... and we thought doing a mini Olympics would let the kids know about children from different cultures," she said.
