JACOB Lollback's run of impressive victories continued at the weekend with two wins and a fourth placing from three finals at the first of Queensland Summer Surf Series carnivals on the Gold Coast.

In an ideal one and a half metre surf at North Burleigh Lollback won the Under-17 years surf board race and in five-man sprint finish and to his great delight, captured the surf race final in the same age division.

His fourth placing came in the Under-17 ironman.

Lollback's efforts were backed up by top performances from former Red Rock/Corindi all rounder Scott McCartney and ex-Yamba stars Hugh Dougherty, Alyce Bennett, and Noah Outteridge

McCartney, now with the northern NSW club of Cudgen was involved in four first placings on Sunday in the Under-19 division including the Under-19 board race.

Outteridge also represented Cudgen and finished second to Maroochydore competitor James Wilkie in the Under-17 iron man.

Hugh Dougherty proved his class yet again winning the open board race and then paddling one of the board legs to help Tugun to the bronze medals in the six man open taplin relay.

Dougherty also reached the open ironman final in which he finished fourth.

Alyce Bennett who last season won dual gold medals for Yamba at the State Championships and this year is competing for the Queensland club North Burleigh, showed her continued improvement in ski events with victory in the Under-19 female single ski final.
