Lyn takes reins of ?vibrant? chamber
THE GRAFTON Chamber of Commerce is one of the most positive and vibrant chambers in NSW, according to its new CEO Lyn Diskon.
Her appointment to the part-time position will enable her to utilise her years of rural business experience.
Previously she was the inaugural manager of the Clarence Valley Council's Duke St Community and Function centre.
She now runs an event man- agement business.
"My passion is really for the businesses in rural and regional Australia. They face challenges such as transport, and time, but I guess all business people struggle for time," she said.
"There are 800 businesses in Grafton and 100 of them are members of the chamber, which is a pretty big chunk."
Her duties will include overseeing networking events, monthly breakfasts and chamber meetings.
