Magpies show trial form

THREE Lower Clarence Magpie Rugby League teams will front up for a pre-season trial match at the Maclean Showground tonight.

Starting at 6pm the Under18s will come up against the South Grafton High School open side while the reserve grade and first grade sides will take on Tugan.

Club president Garry Anderson said "this will be a good opportunity for the local fans to see what local players have returned to the Magpie rugby league family this year.

"It's an exciting time for us with the number of young guns chafing at the bit to get back into full swing."

There will be full bar and canteen operating at the venue.

Ghosties car wash

IF your car is looking that little bit dirty and you are thinking of washing it, then why not come down to the BP Service Station on the corner of Villiers and Fitzroy streets this morning.

The boys from the Grafton Ghosts will be there washing cars and showing off their bodies between 9am and 2pm.

"The cost will be $10 for a wash and chamois, definitely well worth it," said Ghosts supporter Fiona Marscham.

The Ghosts have a busy next few weeks.

Their first trial game against Orara Valley Axemen is on Saturday, March 4 at Frank Mcguren Field.

The Under-18s kick off at 5pm with entry into the ground being $3.

Full canteen and bar facilities will be avaliable.

"We hope to see plenty of dirty cars this Saturday to help raise money for the Ghosties," says Marscham.
