Make your voice heard

By Emma Cornford

Calling all budding radio announcers, music programmers or just those with something to say.

You will have the chance to be heard if you are the highest bidder for the breakfast radio announcer prize at the Grafton Midday Rotary Auction at the South Grafton Ex-Servicemen's Club on May 7.

The highest bidder will have the chance to co-host the breakfast show on 2GF or FM104.7 from 6am until 9am on the day of their choosing.

Station general manager Ron Bell said this would be the fourth time the prize had been donated to help raise money at the charity auction.

"Whoever is the highest bidder can talk about their business or something that is important to them and ... they can help with the selection of music for the show," he said.

"We just thought it was a gimmicky idea and it seems to go all right every year."

Tickets for the May 7 event are available at Bright Eyes in Shoppingworld and at Harvey's Jewellers in Prince Street.
