Netball news

THIS Saturday weekly netball returns.

This includes our 5-7 and 8/9 year olds. I hope everyone had a safe enjoyable easter break.

For this week our coaches of the 5-7 and 8/9 year olds need to be at the courts at 11pm for a discussion with the coaching co-ordinator.

It is a requirement of Grafton Netball that you attend. Then our little ones play at 11.30.

IF you have put your name down to umpire for your club, could you please check to see what time you are umpiring.

Also ensure you have correct footwear when umpiring.

All club registration money needs to be paid this Saturday, otherwise you are not allowed to play.

A reminder no jewelery is to be worn on courts.

If you have any inquiries please contact Cathy Walls on 66427518.

LAST Sunday Grafton represenative teams gave up their last day of school holidays to play in Grafton.

All teams played extremely well until after lunch when we were washed out.

FROM 12-years coach Denise: The girls played 5 games winning all before the rain. What a great improvement on your play, keep it up. Match of the day was against Lismore whom we beat 18/13.

A few tired players towards the end of the day so we need to focus on our fitness at training.

The more you listen and learn at training the more it will come together on the court, again great day.

13-years coach Lynn: Playing only four of the six games due to the rain, the girls played well.

We need to concentrate on positioning and teamwork, other then that our new girls got a taste of competition away from Grafton and made an outstanding effort on the day.

FOURTEENS had a day at home.

FIFTEENS had a great day with playing four out of six games and beating Ballina 17s 14-10 in the first game was a wonderful start.

ASSISTANT coach Ash had the girls for the day and was very pleased with their performance.

FROM 17 years manager Carol: The team played short but came together playing well. They played four games winning all.

We look forward to more challenges at the Lismore carnival.

This week see the teams travel to the Lismore representative carnival.
