On the record

THIS week eight Maclean High School music students stepped into the studio to record the school's 15th album.

Through Grafton TAFE, students recorded cover songs, some of which they had performed in their Higher School Certificate.

Maclean High School English and drama teacher Jack Eyles said with financial help from the school and TAFE, it gave students an 'opportunity they would not have otherwise been afforded'.

"There is a lot of pressure in the studio to get it right and they all handled themselves professionally," sound engineer Marty Robinson said.
