Payne says he?ll run

NEIL Payne has made the decision to nominate for the Clarence Valley Council by-election sooner rather than later.

The former council administrator lodged his nomination yesterday.

Mr Payne stepped down from the role of administrator in March 2005.

Mr Payne is the second candidate to nominate after Grafton's Danny Scott threw his hat in the ring on Wednesday.

Next Monday night a candidate information seminar will be held at 6pm at the by-election office in Grafton.

Returning officer Ray Endean said the session at 69 Victoria Street would cover matters relating to the nomination and election process. All inquiries should be directed to Phillip Binns at the State Electoral Office on 9290 5929.
