Players to get brush with the NRL
FINALISTS in The Daily Examiner Shield open final and Westlawn Cup primary school rugby league competitions will have a brush with the NRL in their final tonight.
The South Grafton Rugby League Club, who have organised the running of the competition, has organised for NRL referee Jason Robinson to referee at tonight's fixtures.
Robinson, 33, has refereed 38 NRL matches in his refereeing career, including 18 in 2005.
He made his first grade debut in 2002, replacing an injured Steve Clark in the Bulldogs v Parramatta game on August 16.
His representative games include the Jim Beam Cup grand final 2003 and Tri Nations 2005 sideline official.
He will arrive in Grafton this afternoon and will be at McKittrick Oval for the finals night where he will referee the main primary school game and The Daily Examiner Shield Opens final.
