The men fled after being discovered at 3.20am. A 38-year-old woman awakened and saw one of the men in the living room. She yelled at the intruder and chased him as he ran through the back door. The second man also ran from the home.

The woman and her 40-year-old husband saw the men run east along Boronia Crescent. The husband went to get his car and give chase but found it had been stolen. The car was found abandoned nearby in bushland.

One of the men is described as 180cm tall, of solid build and has dark hair.
