Police kept on their toes

LOWER RIVER police were kept busy in Yamba on Friday night moving about 50 youths on from an out of control party on Yamba Road.

Police were called to the property after 11pm following complaints from neighbours about bottles being thrown into their yards.

Four police cars patrolled the Yamba area to move the congregations of youths, most of them around 18 years of age, until about 2am.

An unattended police car had its windscreen cracked by a thrown bottle as youths left the party but no arrests were made in relation to the party.
