Publican pleads guilty



Clarence Hotel licensee George Gordon Carpenter will be sentenced in Grafton District Court at a date to be set relating to a number of assault charges from last year.

Carpenter, 37, of Maclean, pleaded guilty to one charge of maliciously inflicting grievous bodily harm and one charge of assault occasioning actual bodily harm in Maclean Local Court on Wednesday. Another charge of assault occasioning actual bodily harm was withdrawn by police prosecutors.
