FAVOURITE Starlactic has firmed for today's Black Toyota Ramornie after attracting 75 per cent of all fixed odds bets through Tabcorp.

The star four-year-old's price has trimmed from an opening quote of $2.25 into $2.15 through sheer weight of support.

"While there hasn't been any huge bets, there have been plenty of $1000 and $800 wagers on Starlactic," TAB Sportsbet media manager Glen Munsie said.

"They've only really backed three horses in the Ramornie -- Starlactic, Silk And Money and Umatrick.

"But the steady support, 75 per cent of all bets written, have been for Starlactic."

Umatrick's price has firmed from $21 into $16.

"We took a bet of $1500 each way on Umatrick at $21," Munsie confirmed.

Betting on tomorrow's Grafton Cup has been quiet Munsie said.

"The biggest bet we've layed is $1000 on Classic Karla at $10," Munsie added.

"The most popular horses in the cup through Ramornie-Grafton Cup doubles have been Rockin On and the favourite Verb."

Munsie added punters could take Ramornie-Grafton Cup doubles and couple them with the July Cup in England featuring 2004 Ramornie winner Takeover Target.

The July Cup market will be available later today for those keen to take up the offer.
