Rave drugs, cash seized at Lilydale

A VIDEO camera containing footage of a rave party, drugs and $17,000 in cash were found during a police raid on a Lilydale property on Wednesday morning.

Ian Michael Eyles, 51, did not seek bail in Grafton Local Court yesterday and was remanded in custody after being charged with a string of drug offences.

Police found Eyles in a caravan on the property after receiving information he was allegedly involved in the supply of ecstasy and cannabis to the Grafton and Coffs Harbour areas.

Eyles was asked by police to empty out the contents of his trouser pockets, allegedly revealing $1920 in cash, a white rock police believed to be amphetamine and a quantity of cannabis leaf and resin.

Eyles allegedly told police he had earned the money through building work before requesting an opportunity to seek legal advice.

Once the search resumed police allegedly located a white bucket containing 25 one-ounce 'deal' bags hidden under the branches of a bush.

Large quantities of cash and drugs in resealable bags were also allegedly found hidden in the seat covers of a Toyota Landcruiser.

Police also allegedly discovered 15 marijuana plants growing in bushland and $5000 in a large garbage bag buried near three trees.

In total, police allegedly located 277 LSD tabs, 126 ecstasy tablets, 864 grams of cannabis and $17,010 in cash. Eyles will appear in Grafton Local Court on September 5.
