GRAFTON bowmen Robbie Austen has picked a national title in 3D archery.

Austen competed at the 3D Archery Association of Australia's National Titles tournament held at Nambucca Heads on October 29 and 30.

Austen, 20, scored 463 out of a possible 500 points.

His score of 292 out of 300 on Saturday was enough to win him the 3D AAA National Title in his very competitive division -? the Male Bowhunter Open.

Robbie, who is a member of the Grafton Bowmen Club, had accumulated enough points during the year to also snare the coveted MBO Shooter of the Year Award, which was also presented at Nambucca Heads on Sunday.

These awards now entitle Robbie to travel to the United States of America to compete in USA and World Title tournaments against some of the best archers in the world.
