Rockets share special day

ROCKHAMPTON Stadium Nightclub Rockets men's basketballers Cameron Tragardh and Jonathon Shepherd were touched by some "magic'' yesterday.

Tragardh and Shepherd went from students of the game of basketball to teachers when they held a coaching clinic at the Rockhampton Special School.

"It was a magic morning ? I feel really good,'' Tragardh said.

"It's awesome to see them all in there having a go and giving it their best.''

The Rockets duo worked through skills like passing and dribbling ? tips which could come in handy when the Rockhampton and North Rockhampton special schools hit the basketball court for a game next term.

Tragardh welcomed the chance to pass on their knowledge to people that wanted to learn.

Shepherd and Tragardh will need all their skills when the Rockets host the Brisbane Capitals in their QABL (Queensland Australian Basketball League) Sunstate Division showdown at Rockhampton's Hegvold Stadium on Friday night.

The Rockhampton Hog's Breath Cafe Cyclones women's team will also play Brisbane earlier in the night.
