Roosters come calling

NORTHERN Rivers Regional Rugby League Under-18 Player Of The Year Ryan Binge has been invited to trial with leading NRL club, Sydney City Roosters.
And the invite came via Australian rugby league legend Arthur Beetson.
Talent scouts for the Roosters spotted Binge's strong performance this season playing for the Lower Clarence Magpies Under-18s, coached by his father Ricky, and NRRRL representative teams.
St George are also believed to be interested in the highly talented backrower.
"Arthur phoned and asked me to come down to Sydney and trial with Easts," the 17-year-old said.
"They (Roosters) will pick me up from the airport and I'm staying at Arthur's house."
Binge departs on Friday and will return to Maclean on Sunday evening.
"It's a great opportunity, I'm excited," the apprentice plumber said.
"I've always wanted to play in the NRL.
"I'll just go down and give it my best shot then see what happens."
Standing 188cm and weighing 100kg, Binge is a mobile secondrower with good ball skills and solid defender.
While Binge is looking forward to the opportunity to trial with the Roosters and a possible playing contract, he admitted his NRL allegiances must change.
"I've always followed the Broncos (Brisbane)," Binge said.
"But I wouldn't knock back the chance to play with Easts (Roosters)."
