Seniors brush with art

By JULIA ILES

THE world of residents at St Catherine's Villa Grafton will be coloured a little brighter with the addition of a mural.

Up to 10 TAFE painting and decorating students used their artistic talent to turn a rather mundane lunch room wall of the high care unit into a rainforest complete with a babbling brook and King Parrot.

"They've done such a wonderful job, and it will enhance the residents' lives by bringing the beauty and harmony of nature indoors," activities co-ordinator Sue Dawson said.

It was organised as part of Seniors Week and it is hoped will promote discussions from the people who use the room.
