Sneak peek

A PRIVATE viewing of John William Lindt's photographs of Solferino, a former gold-mining town, was held at Grafton's Regional Gallery on Wednesday night.

Those in attendance included donors who had given money to purchase the seven-piece collection.

"It was an informal gathering to thank the sponsors and donors for helping to acquire the pictures," gallery administrator Avron Thompson said.

One of the Lindt photographs features European Louis Robinson. His grandson Ian Robinson, pictured, and Ian's wife Florence, attended the viewing.
