Soccer restructure set
BIG changes are ahead for senior soccer on the Clarence this winter.
The changes will be discussed in detail at a conference on Sunday, February 5, at the South Grafton Ex-Servicemen's Club.
Opening at 11am, the conference will have as guest speakers operations manager for NNSWSF Alan Nesbitt, operations manager NCFZ Gary Phillips and Clarence co-ordinator of NCFZ Stephen Reading.
The conference will focus on the structures to be put in place for football competitions in the newly created North Coast Football Zone which replaces the Clarence River and Holiday Coast Soccer Associations.
Also to be reviewed will be a new club resource manual just completed by Northern New South Wales Soccer Federation, and matters relating to zone systems and their operation.
All football clubs registered in the Clarence Valley ? Hillside, Westlawn, Coutts Crossing, Iluka, Yamba, Tucabia, Lawrence, Majos, Grafton City, South Services Gunners, Maclean ? are invited to send their club executives, organisers said.
It is important that all clubs be represented by members of their executive as the information from the conference is critical for the successful functioning of NCFZ competitions.
Meanwhile, futsal competitions for juniors and seniors are being planned for the 2006 season.
The popular senior competition, which kicked off at the end of last year, is to start again on February 15 with a registration day and social fixtures.
