Some healthy advice

HEALTH information on the North Coast has shot to a higher level.

The North Coast Area Health Service has unveiled its new internet site which provides information on services, health news and tips, regional healthcare, population statistics and employment opportunities within the organisation.

Chief executive Chris Crawford said the website built on work offered on the forerunner sites operated by Northern Rivers and Mid North Coast Area Health Services. It featured a design layout reflecting the North Coast service's position within the statewide NSW Department of Health.

He said the site featured a directory of hospital and community health services throughout the operating area, from Tweed Heads down to Port Macquarie, and offered easy-to-use access to many thousands of pages of information.

Diversity of material would range from descriptions of facilities, with street maps and contact details, to a variety of reports and statistics on regional health topics.
