TAFE hits Iluka

FREE TAFE courses will start in Iluka on Monday. Utilising outreach funding, TAFE NSW North Coast Institute (TNNCI) will conduct a number of courses in the coming months, to be held at the Iluka CWA hall in Charles Street. The free courses kick off with Monday's Statement of Attain- ment in Workplace Hy- geine, to be held be- tween 9-30am to 3pm. Head teacher of tourism and hospitality for TNNCI Lyndel Bai- ley said the courses were a positive thing for the Iluka area and would hopefully benefit members of the com- munity. In addition to con- ducting the course on Monday TAFE will be taking enrolments for courses planned for the next month includ- ing the senior first aid certificate, boat licence and tai-chi. Local coordinator Sandi Schroeder said the free TAFE out- reach courses were a great way to gain skills and an opportu- nity that should not be missed.
