Tragedy rocks young family
WHEN Bruno Rocco told his 'sunshine', Melanie Luscombe, he loved her during their daily phone call last Wednesday, she could only think of their future together.
But that future was tragically cut short when the four-wheeldrive Mr Rocco, 43, was a passenger in rolled last Thursday 50km east of Menindee, killing him and fellow Harsco Track Technology employee, Grafton's Duanne Mawhirt, 42.
Another passenger in the vehicle, 19-year-old Cameron Powell, son of Jacaranda Hotel owners Tony and Brenda, was yesterday in a stable condition in Royal Adelaide Hospital.
Mrs Luscombe said during their last conversation the couple planned Bruno's upcoming month's leave.
"He said he couldn't wait until his leave came and he could spend time with me and the kids," she said.
The following tribute was penned by Melanie.
Taken from us in a tragic accident.
You are my love, you are my heart, you are my Rocc, you are my world and even though you have gone you are in my heart forever.
