Trees targeted



NOT even speciallyinstalled security chains could stop vandals from wrenching grass trees from the ground in Yamba on Sunday night.

The four grass trees have come under regular weekend attacks since being planted on the corner of Coldstream and River streets just before Christmas.

Clarence Valley Council ranger Neville Frost said chains and steel bars fastening the trees underground were also ripped out in the latest incident.
