Triplets celebrate

By JULIA ILES

WHEN Kerry Herbert found out she was having triplets she cried, but a year on and she couldn't imagine life any other way.

"It's fun and I am lucky, but I never expected to be the mother of five children," she said.

"I always thought we'd only have one or two."

Tomorrow Mrs Herbert, her husband Matt, their seven-year-old son Jaydon and four-year-old daughter Tahlia will celebrate the first birthday of miracle triplets Cooper, Rhys and Mikaila.

"I will make sure they all have their own birthday cakes as they are individuals," Mrs Herbert said.

"Even now you can see their different personalities, Rhys is a placid little guy, while Cooper likes action and is inquisitive, and Mikaila well she is her own person."
