Truck swipes Ulmarra fence

A TRUCK travelling north fell victim to Saturday's wet conditions when it skidded off the road into a fence north of Ulmarra.

Police say the accident was a result of the driver of the semi-trailer swerving to avoid collision with vehicles turning right off the Pacific Highway into Old Post Office Lane.

Emergency services attended the accident site, with police and council employees working to clean up fuel leak.

Grafton police chief inspector Darren Spooner said that while no-one was injured, the accident should serve as a reminder to drivers to be aware of the dangers that wet road conditions represent.
