Water relief

LEVEL One water restrictions will not be introduced in the Clarence Valley in the foreseeable future North Coast Water executive manager Ian Preston said.

He said recent heavy rain in the catchment areas for the Nymboida River, from which the Valley takes its water supply, meant river flows were well above restriction inducing levels.

He said after 50mls of rain in the Dorrigo area the river had peaked at 510 megalitres earlier this week before drop- ping to 385 megalitres.
