Woman dies in Southgate crash



AN aged woman was killed at Southgate, north of Grafton, on Saturday when the car she was driving left the road and slammed into a tree, before bursting into flames. Police said the woman was travelling south along Southgate Road when she lost control while rounding a righthand bend. They said the car veered off the road and rolled several times, before colliding with a tree and bursting into flames. Police said the woman, the only occupant of the vehicle, was killed instantly.

Police are investigating.
