Women's hockey

LAST week's round saw play only on the turfs with the grass fields being closed due to the rain. These games though, saw some being much closer than Camilla and the Queen with Westlawn having a 1-all draw with McAuley White with H Chapman and E Hartman getting on the score-card.

Grafton High Angels also did the 1-all draw with South Sharks with C Joe and Z Perl tying up the scores in what was a very tight tussle.

CONCERNED about her health, a senior player recently had a check up with her doctor.

The Doctor recommended that she watch her drinking. She now drinks in front of a mirror.

THERE is a trial game between the Over35s number one team and the Under-18 representative team on Sunday, commencing at 9.30am.

Under-18s are requested to wear white shirts and white sox while the vets are asked to wear blue shirts and blue socks. This should be a great hit out for both teams and all are asked to attend.

SUPERVISORS are required to help out the junior umpires when the vets are competing in Coffs Harbour.

If you can assist, please contact Cheryl Kinnane.

ONE player has recently been complaining about her old car continuing to break down.

She's been quite excited lately with the purchase of the family's second car - a tow truck.

IT'S time again to take our hats off to our umpires ? love your work!

It is a challenging role and it deserves the respect of both players and spectators.

Our open players recently, 'played their socks off,' in Bathurst and were unlucky not to make it to the finals.

There were some truly gutsy performances with special mention going to Robyn Wynn who was nominated as Players' Player and Angela Day who received the coach's award.

THESE Stars of the Week are joined by Robyn Anderson and the Napper family who recently donated trophies for the mods com- petition in the Kelly Cup ? just gorgeous.

OUR terrific sponsors on board this week are Helen Ramsey Accounting and Cetnaj Electrical.

Why not get Helen to do your tax and pop into Cetnaj with your return and buy some sexy lights.

Happy Hockey.
