Women's hockey

THIS week was a hockey hiatus in the Westlawn Finance Women's competition with no play on the long weekend and only the A graders keeping the flag flying on Wednesday night.

There are only nine more sleeps to go before the Under-15 half state championships kick off in Grafton on June 25-26.

This major event on the junior calendar sees teams traveling from Parramatta through to Tweed Heads to participate in the championships.

This tournament will create a significant influx of players and supporters into our area and many thanks go to our sponsors for assisting this to occur. Grafton will be well represented by some young stars, ready to make an impact.

To ensure the smooth running of the event, clubs are required to assist with the catering. Please see the time-table below,

OUR Star of the Week goes to Olivia Morrison who recently gained selection in the state PSSA School team which will contest the national titles.

Olivia is the sole representative from this area and we wish her well.
