Young Tigers roar into major semi

THE Grafton Tigers Under-18 AFL team bears the hopes of club as it prepares for today's major semi-final against Nambucca Lions at the International Stadium at Coffs Harbour this week to play in the major semi-final.
The young Tigers take on the Lions with the winner going straight through to the grand final.
This should be a cracking game of footy, with both sides being the stand out in the competition this year.
These sides have only played once this year, when the Lions travelled up to our home ground, and the Boys accounted for them on that occasion.
However this will be a hard fought contest with the ground being larger and both teams desperate not to have to play the following week.
The Tigers will be at full strength for the first time in a couple of games and hopefully they will use this to their advantage and walk away with the win.
It was disappointing last week with the North Coffs Kangaroos Under-18s forfeiting, and robbing our boys of a chance to take out the minor premiership.
It also cost the boys the hit out before the finals that they would have wanted.
Coach Rick Hayman has trained the boys really well this week to try to account for this, so the guys are looking like they will be in top shape for the final.
They are all very keen to get to Coffs and win their way to the grand final.
The whole club is supporting the team in their finals campaign, with a large contingent of the senior side, parents and supporters travelling to Coffs this weekend to cheer the boys on.
