HELLO and welcome back to netball for the 2006 year.

Grafton netball started the year with our representative trials which began on February 4 and concluded Sunday just gone, for children from 12s up to 17 years.

More than 100 girls turned up for for the trials which was wonderful to see.

All the girls played extremely well but only nine per team can make it, for those who didn't make it, please be sure that you try out again next year.

It is with great pleasure to announce the 2006 Grafton representative netball teams.

n12 years: Samantha Collie, Thalia Goodwin, Tamara Hearfield, Zoe James, Caitlyn Nay, Chelsey Pilgrim, Emily Tuite,Kailyn Wake and Laura Warby. Coach is Denise Everingham, manager Cathy Warby.

n13 years: Chrissy Bennett, Eloise Casson, Charley Donovan, Emily Durrington, Racheal Kay, Matilda Kroehnart, Amee McGrath, Helen King and Hannah Sherrin. Coach Lyn Hatton assistant coach Ellen Hatton and manager Debbie Bailey.

n14 years: Ebony Simmons, Shahnee Searle, Steffani Ford, Lauren DiMattia, Georgie Firth, Jacynta Stoker, Jacqueline King, Danielle Brown and Gabby Cullen. Coach Maree McKenna and manager Marg Hayward.

n15 years: Lisa Wenban, Verity Simmons, Sally-Jane Loy, Kate Brown, Maddy Casson, Emma Joseph, Tessa Little, Nicola Wiseman and Steff Honeybrook. A coach and manager is needed for the 15 year team, if you would like to apply for this position your nomination must be to President Cathy Walls before February 20 at our next council meeting.

n17 years: Tian McKenzie, Hannah Mears, Ashlee Hurst, Ashleigh Walls, Brooke Nay, Alice Brown, Kate Synott, Verity Simmons and Kayla Frame. Coach is Kerry Donovan and manager June Colgrave.

nTHIS year Grafton Netball is pleased to announce three young girls who made the Academy they are Verity Simmons, Hannah Mears and Ashlee Hurst. Congratulations go to these girls.

nDON'T forget our first council meeting for 2006, this is on Monday, February 20 at 7pm at the netball courts.

All delegates need to be in attendance.
