RESOLUTIONS

THE meeting outcomes from the Market Square rally, signed by upwards of one hundred people, were yesterday handed to General Manager of the RTA Pacific Highway Development Office, Bob Higgins.

They were:

nWe request an immediate extension of the November 18th deadline for submissions.

nWe reject the current WC-IR route options report due to the lack of substance contained in it which makes it impossible to make an informed decision about an issue which will affect hundreds of thousands of lives for decades. We draw your attention for comparison to option reports for the Woolgoolga to Wells Crossing, Woodburn to Ballina and particularly to the Tintenbar to Ewingsdale options report for reference to the minimum quality of reporting we as a community require from you.

nWe request that you immediately begin a genuine evaluation of the 'Summerland Way' route to be presented as a route option and, if this is not viable, then provide clear and compelling evidence to demonstrate why this is the case.

nWe place RTA and SKM on notice of our desire for a public inquiry into both the handling and content of the WC-IR report.
