AFTER Nick Abrahall discharged five shots during the 30-metre stand and hold rifle event at the Grafton Rifle Club on Saturday, his target had only three holes.

But one hole was slightly bigger than the others ? because three bullets had gone through the bullseye in the exact same place.

Mr Abrahall, who has been shooting for more than 30 years, said two pellets going through the same hole happened 'occasionally', but three pellets was quite rare.

"After my shots the target went down for a long time and they asked me how many I got away ... and I said five," Mr Abrahall said.
