Murry Burrows donates his Art to the PA hospital

Art perfect therapy for big-hearted dad

My father, Murry Burrows, had to take early retirement from being a teacher due to having a brain tumor.

Despite not having touched a paint brush since he was in his early twenties, he took up painting as a hobby once again in retirement to help fill his days, keep his mind active and give back to the community.

He insists on not accepting any money for his Art, and is simply happy seeing the reactions on people's faces when they receive it.

Aside from family and friends, he has also donated his work to the following organisations:


- PA Hospital
- Ipswich Hospital
- World's Biggest Morning Tea
- Leichhardt One Mile Community Centre
- Riverview Community Centre
- Tarampa General Store & Cafe
- High schools
- QLD health
- St Vinnies stores

My Dad has always had a huge heart, and it is so wonderful that he gets to share a piece of himself with so many doing something he loves so much.
