Assessment time for fresh meat

WHAT is on everyone’s mind this week? Assessment.

Sessions this week are closed to spectators as the girls and guys will be focused on passing their assessments.

Green into Blue Stripe will be held on Wednesday, March 23, at 7pm, and Fresh Meat into Green Stripe assessment will be held on Friday, March 25, at 6.30pm.

All skaters are asked to be completely geared up with skates on and ready to go for the start time.

Our fresh meat skater for this week was Cherry.

Last week we forgot to mention our two fresh meat skaters of the week. Ellen for Beginners and OllyonOctane for Intermediates. Well done ladies and good luck with your assessment if you are undertaking it.

The CVRDL Inc is always looking for new recruits or “fresh meat” as it is known in the world of roller derby.

If you are interested in giving it a try please contact Jade on 0432 489 974 or 6645 5568 to organise skate hire and get some details about what is involved. The cost is $15 for training and all equipment hire.

All new starters are asked to be at training at the Raymond Laurie Sports Centre by 6pm this Friday night. Roller derby training is a great way to have fun, get fit and meet other like-minded women in your area.
