Award winning songwriter to perform at Yamba
RECENTLY returned from playing in the USA and Europe, Laura Zarb's compelling voice, infectious folk grooves and contagious energy will have you hooked as soon as she introduces herself.
In two short years the Blue Mountains artist has gone from open mic nights to winning the Ironfest Singer/Songwriter comp, and performances up and down the coast of Australia at events such as The Sydney Blues and Roots Festival and The National Folk Festival.
Laura's vocal tones have been compared to greats such as Janis Joplin and Ella Fitzgerald. Her ability to switch from all out raunchy rock and blues numbers to sweet and dulcet tones keeps her audiences on their toes and wondering just what she'll play next.
With her art for words and an open, and at times awkward honesty, Laura's songwriting will make you laugh, smile, and maybe even cry. Her song "Echo," featured on her debut album and written for her grandfather, has touched audiences all over the world.
