GRAFTON'S sensational singing sisters, The McClymonts, are heading home for the only Australian live performance promoting their new album, Two Worlds Collide.

Brooke, Sam and Mollie McClymont will perform live at the Grafton Racecourse on Friday, May 18 - the same day the new album is released in Australia.

The sisters said they wanted to return home to where their careers started, to celebrate the album's release and to offer some young Clarence Valley talent a taste of what it is like to perform on the big stage and hopefully give them the same break they got.

Brooke said they were overseas much of the time.

"We wanted to bring our new music and new show to Grafton before we toured anywhere else as a way of thanking everyone for their support over so many years," Brooke said.

Mollie said the show would be special for them.

"We are really excited and can't wait for everyone at home to hear the new songs first and tell us what they think," Mollie said.

"This show will be the biggest event we have ever put together for ourselves and to be doing it at home is awesome."

Former Jacaranda Queen Sam said they also wanted to help showcase some other young talent in the Valley.

"We remember when we were first starting off and mum used to drive us around the entire east coast to perform at talent quests for years, so we are going to ask all the high schools in Grafton to nominate their star performers to share the stage with us at the Grafton Racecourse on May 18.

"It was not so long ago that we were in their shoes with a dream and a hope to make singing our full-time career.

"We feel really good about keeping this show all about Grafton and hopefully help push some other dreams a little further along the track."

The first single from the new album, How Long Have You Known, went to number one on the Australian Country Music chart and the CMC Video Chart in the first week of April.

The second single, Piece Of Me, was released to radio this week.

After the Grafton performance, The McClymonts head back to the USA for a three-month summer tour around the major fairs and festivals in America.

They will share the stage with some of America's biggest touring artists such as Jason Aldean, Trace Adkins, Luke Bryan, The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Jo Dee Messina and Mark Chestnut.

According to manager Steve White, the Grafton trio are really starting to make an impact in the media in the USA with their first single, Wrapped Up Good, going Top 30 on the charts last December and their second single, I Could Be A Cowboy, on its way up the charts.

Mr White was in Grafton last week looking at the racecourse.

"We are very excited about this event," he said.

"The girls really wanted to launch this album at home in Grafton.

"We will be bringing in a big stage, sound and lighting system and setting it all up on the track in front of the grandstands.

"My hope is to create a huge community event to celebrate the success of The McClymonts to date and to send them off to America the following week for their three-month summer tour."
