Bali Nine pair being moved to island for execution

UPDATE 7.30AM: TWO armoured vehicles have now taken Australian drug smugglers Andrew Chan and Myuran Sukumaran from Bali's Kerobokan prison, as they begin their journey to the island where they are expected to be executed.

The ABC is reporting that "a senior police source" in Indonesia has confirmed the two were inside the vehicles.

The two Australians are now expected to be put on a military plane that will travel to Cilacap, which is the town closest to the Nusa Kambangan Island prison where the two will face execution.

Michael Chan was said to be at the prison to see his brother, but his attempts were rejected by authorities.

The plan is now to execute 11 people at one time, including the eight foreigners of which Mr Chan and Mr Sukumaran are two.

The Indonesian Attorney-General must give 72 hours notice to the men that they're scheduled to face the firing squad.

Bali Nine smugglers likely to be moved to island, ahead of executions

POLICE reinforcements have arrived at Bali's Kerobokan prison as authorities prepare to transfer Australian drug smugglers Andrew Chan and Myuran Sukumaran to the island jail where they are scheduled to be executed.

Senior security and Indonesian justice sources have told the ABC the transfer is due to happen this morning, with two saying that it would be around 6:00am (local time).

This morning three trucks full of police arrived at Kerobokan prison and an armoured police truck has been moved into the foyer.

The actual transfer will be overseen by the elite paramilitary police mobile brigade BRIMOB.

Prime Minister Tony Abbott told AM the Government was revolted by the prospect of the two men being killed and was continuing to press Indonesia for a stay of execution.
