Baryulgil campdraft rekindles spirit

A 13-YEAR campdrafting drought was broken at Baryulgil on the weekend as horse and rider pitted themselves against some prime beef at Gordon Brook Station.

Stunning scenery, steak sandwiches and stockmanship was the order of the day with events starting as the sun came up on both days.

"The event was last held in 2000 and then was cancelled due to the drought," Baryulgil Campdraft secretary Tom Chevalley said.

"We didn't have the interest to re-start it until this year, but now it's up and running we hope it will grow in size every year."

Check out some more brilliant photos of the action on page 26, and make sure to head online to watch some videos of the event.
