Bat strategy in the works

CLARENCE Valley residents are being invited to participate in developing a strategy to manage flying foxes in the area.

The invitation has come from the Maclean Flying Fox Working Group.

The Department of Environment, Climate Change and Water’s acting North Coast region manager, Brett Nudd, said the Maclean Flying Fox Working Group was seeking nominations from groups or individuals representing community interests and affected parties to become members of the group.

Interested groups or people can obtain a nomination form by contacting Kelly Roche of the Department of Environment, Climate Change and Water on (02) 6640 2511, or by visiting the Clarence Valley Council’s website www.clarence.nsw.gov.au .

Applications must be submitted by 4pm, Monday, January 18 to council or by emailing kelly.roche@environment.nsw.gov.au .
