Baubled splendour

THERE is plenty of Christmas spirit flowing through the Clarence Valley and when it comes to trees, there has been no lack of beauty or creativity.

We asked you to post photos of your Christmas tree onto our Facebook wall and after much deliberation we have picked a winner.

For first place we could not go past Winona Habashy's striking white tree with red and green decorations.

Kelly Simpson Clark and her beach-themed tree is runner-up for its sheer beauty and summer vibe.

The innovation award goes to Ann Pollock and family, who cut their Christmas tree in half to fit in the lounge room - genius!

And a special mention goes to the West family, posted by Melissa. Decorated by Willie, 2, and Matilda, 6 months "with a bit of help from Mummy and Daddy". They managed to get 260-plus ornaments on the tree.
