Beautiful day for the ankle-biters

BUBS are anything but forgotten this Jacaranda Festival with the Beautiful Baby Competition going ahead for another year.

Director Debbie Cox said the competition would give the youngsters a chance to strut their stuff.

"It's designed for 0-36-month-olds so it's nice to have something for them as well as the junior and senior Jaca candidates," Ms Cox said.

"The toddlers get judged on their smile and their personality plus we have best dressed boy and girl."

Last year's theme was Disney and with such a phenomenal response, it's the same this year.

"It was such a hit last year we want to do it again," Ms Cox said.

Every child entered gets a lucky door prize ticket, a McDonald's voucher and a certificate and the Grand Champion Baby, will receive a purple crown, cape and sash.
