Beth busy with TAFE

BETH Snape has a lot under her belt; she is the co-ordinator and tutor for many vocational education programs at the Grafton TAFE. She teaches courses on financial services, accounting and computer packages. She also teaches CGEA literacy and numeracy, as well as first aid.

Beth moved to a farm in the Kangaroo Creek area five years ago.

“I worked in the tax office for 23 years. Now we're in the cattle industry, it's completely different,” she said.

She has four children, two in primary school, one in Year 11 and her eldest at university.

“Lately we've been focusing mostly on the kids.”

Beth spent yesterday at the Grafton Community College stand in Grafton Shoppingworld handing out information about the Certificate III in Beauty Services course to anyone who was interested.

She said the course was accredited, which means, “you have the qualification at the end, not just a piece of paper saying you've done it”.
