Plants Plus and City Pride big believers in small business
IPSWICH shoppers have a sense of loyalty for small operators, says Plants Plus Ipswich owner Brad Riches.
Mr Riches' Raceview nursery is one of more than 370 businesses taking part in The Queensland Times campaign City Pride, encouraging people to support local business with the chance to win up to $5500.
Going above and beyond at Plants Plus has included driving customers home, making special orders and conscientiously helping out the community.
Mr Riches is a big believer in offering an experience to his customers, many of whom are seniors or regular shoppers.
"We just try and give something back," the business owner said. "It doesn't have to be big."
Mr Riches encourages customers to shop in August to support the community and get more chances to enter City Pride.
Entry forms for the first prize pool have already been walking out the door at Plants Plus Ipswich in the first week of the month-long campaign.
To be eligible to enter, you must buy an item from a participating store and mail in your entry form to the QT before the prize pool closes.
