Bill says thank you for Iluka award

ON behalf of my family and myself, I take this opportunity through the local media to thank the Association of Iluka Residents, other organisations and local identities for granting me the honour of being Iluka's Australia Day Citizen of the Year.

I could not have attained this wonderful award without the help and assistance of our local fishos and sports people who have all joined together to carry out various activities such as building the slipway, forming the Coast Guard Flotilla, now Marine Rescue and Iluka Golf Club - an enormous amount of work both physical and academic.

"No names, no court martial ..." as they say, so I will not mention names because I may offend if left out. Thank you.
