Blanch to return for Clarence River in grand final
AFTER last week's washed out fixture Nathan Blanch has again been named to play for Clarence River in the rescheduled North Coast Inter-District Cricket grand final against Coffs Harbour at Ellem Oval on Sunday.
Blanch was an absentee from the Clarence River side when it headed to Tamworth for the Country Shield finals after he suffered a severe finger injury in the field during the last club game for Westlawn before Christmas.
Despite his absence Clarence River emerged victorious and continued its success with a strong Inter-District win over Nambucca Valley.
Clarence River lost to Coffs Harbour in the last round but remained on top of the table with a superior quotient after three sides finished equal with two wins apiece.
The other notable inclusion is Brothers wicket keeper batsman Andy Lancaster, while Bill North and Matt Pigg return for their first outings since the win at Tamworth on December 30.
