Jermaine's hooked on BMX riding

EIGHTEEN-YEAR-OLD Jermaine Clarke reckons the Grafton skate park is pretty crash hot.

The avid BMX rider has been competing on his bike since he was 10 years old, and said BMX was the first sport he got really involved in.

“I heard about it through a school newsletter and have been hooked ever since,” Jermaine said.

“It’s fun and keeps you fit.

"BMX is a great social sport.

"I’ve met so many lifelong friends through my travels.”

Jermaine has competed at both state and national events, and said he had travelled through most of Queensland and nearly all of New South Wales for competition.

“BMX is a great way of networking and getting to know people,” said Jermaine, who lives just outside Ulmarra.

When he isn’t pedalling on the BMX track, Jermaine is usually either at work at Supercheap Auto, or hanging out with his mates at the Grafton skate park.
